Country Exhibits
Units (3 chapters per unit)
First: Physical Geography (5-6 days)
-Political Map: the region’s countries and capitals / colored as a political map
-Physical Map: major landforms and features (i.e. rivers, oceans, seas, lakes, major bays, archipelagos, mountain chains, plains, plateaus, highlands, wetlands, rainforests, forests, grasslands) / color as a physical map

-Notes for Section 1: Physical Features (2 page minimum / 1 graphic organizer)
-Notes for Section 2: Climate Region (2 page minimum / 1 graphic organizer)
-Chapter Test
Second: History and Culture (3-4 days)
-Notes for Section 1: History and Government (2 page minimum / 1 graphic organizer)
-Notes for Section 2: Cultures and Lifestyles (2 page minimum / 1 graphic organizer)

Third: Country Project (2-3 weeks)
Scenario: An international symposium has been called that will allow representatives to show off the best features of their country. Students will become 'citizens' of that nation, and then they will share all the great things that their country has to offer.
